How to Climb the Laundry Mountain
Three weeks of laundry on the chair, the floor, the bed. The thought of it is heavier than the laundry. Here is the order to make it weightless.

Steps
- 01Sort into three piles: dark / light / wash-cold-only. That's it. Three piles, no more.
- 02Start the dark load first — it's usually the biggest, will dry while you do everything else.
- 03While the wash runs, fold ONE thing — any one shirt, on the bed, neatly. The momentum begins with one.
- 04When the dark load is done, start the light. Move darks to dryer or hang.
- 05Sit down. Drink water. Fold the dry batch in front of the TV, no pressure, one piece at a time.
- 06By bedtime: chair clear, floor clear, one basket of folded clean clothes by the closet. Tomorrow you put them away.
