Three Pots for the Apartment That Has No Yard
You can't grow a garden in a studio. You can grow three plants. Choose them well and the apartment changes.
Steps
- 01Pot one: a snake plant. Survives anything. Light: any. Water: every two weeks. The plant for people who say they kill plants.
- 02Pot two: a pothos. Trailing vine, looks lush in a month. Light: indirect. Water: when the top inch is dry. Cuttings root in water — you will end up with three pothos by year-end, free.
- 03Pot three: a single basil or rosemary on the windowsill. The one you cook with. Pinch leaves often.
- 04All three in matching terracotta pots — even from the cheapest garden center. Matching pots make three plants read as a collection, not clutter.
