Pear and Almond Cake
The cake gets better the day after. Bake on Saturday for Sunday.

Ingredients
- 200g butter, soft
- 200g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200g ground almonds
- 100g flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 3 ripe pears, peeled, cored, sliced
Steps
- 01Cream butter and sugar until pale.
- 02Add eggs one at a time, then almonds, flour, baking powder.
- 03Pour into a buttered 22cm tin.
- 04Arrange pear slices on top in concentric circles.
- 05Bake at 170°C for 50 minutes until a skewer comes out clean.
- 06Cool in tin. Dust with icing sugar before serving.
